Marci Bales Peschke was born in Indiana, grew up in Florida during the Space Race, and now lives in Texas with her husband and sweet black and white cat named  Oreo Cookie Peschke, called Cookie. She is an author, professional storytime reader and retired school librarian. One of her favorite things to do is spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loves reading, tea parties, and watching movies. Traveling is another passion of hers and she has been to 43 of the 50 states as well as Mexico, Canada, England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and France. She has lived in three haunted houses which inspired her to write The Ghost's Revenge. When she was six she started writing poems, so for her writing books is a dream come true!
